Politicians like to use a saying that they “trust but verify” in foreign policy. That well has run dry with the American people. High profile Democrats continue to steal, lie and mislead. This time, the American people are demanding the truth about the Biden family’s corruption.
The days of Democrat leaders like Hillary Clinton shrugging off claims about misdeeds are over. During her time as Secretary of State in the Obama-Biden Administration, she attempted to mislead the public about the events that tragically took the lives of Americans at Benghazi. Clinton and the Obama-Biden White House rolled out a lie across talk shows and issued press releases that a viral video sparked hostilities. It took years of investigation and congressional hearings to prove Hillary, Obama, and Biden lied. The incident was a direct terrorist attack, and Hillary did not send aid to Americans under siege. She slept, then lied about it.
With former Obama-era number two, Joe Biden, running in the Democrat primaries, evidence has surfaced that Biden and his son, Hunter, ran an influence-peddling scheme with Ukraine, and China, among others, that made them wealthy. Given Biden was part and parcel of what many are discovering was the most corrupt administration in our lifetime, everyday people are unwilling to “trust.” Recent polls show that the majority of Americans want an impartial investigation into Biden family corruption.
On a recent segment of the left-leaning Face the Nation television show, USA Today Washington bureau chief Susan Page reportedly said that Americans want Biden’s “unseemly” conduct during the Obama years investigated. The back-and-forth on Face the Nation stands as a watershed moment, because the political commentary show tends to back liberals issues and soft-walks Democrats through controversies.
“What does this mean for the 2020 race? You have Joe Biden out there with the Washington Post op-ed,” host Margaret Brennan asked. “He hasn’t sat and really answered questions to clear the air on this. Is it going to hurt him?”
Although the pair went on to try and minimize the grotesque money-grabs that occurred during the Obama-Biden administration, they were at least candid enough to put forward facts that Americans want no part of influence peddlers such as Biden. They want the truth.
“It’s not unusual for family members the try to cash in on famous or powerful relatives. It is something Americans do not like. It is unseemly that. It is a question that Joe Biden is going to have to answer moving forward,” Page responded. “We had a USA Today poll this week that showed by 2-1, by 42-21 percent Americans say it would be legitimate, there are valid reasons to investigate Biden’s behavior when it came to Ukraine.”
To date, the Obama-era flunky has been snared in a series of lies about his actions, and those of Hunter Biden. The ex-vice president went strongly on the record claiming there was no influence peddling, and the father-son team never discussed the Ukraine deal that reportedly landed Hunter upwards of $3.1 million.
“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden insisted. “I know Trump deserves to be investigated. He is violating every basic norm of a president.”
Photos have already surfaced showing Joe and Hunter Biden playing golf with the very Ukraine businesspeople at the center of the foreign corruption scandal. Biden’s claim is clearly untrue.
And if Biden is inferring that shaking down foreign countries such as Ukraine and China in return for favorable treatment, perhaps it’s a good thing that the previous White House “norm” has been discarded. Hillary sold enriched uranium to Russia and covered the transaction up while now-disgraced ex-President Bill Clinton was given hefty speaking fees from Russian oligarchs. The Clintons also reportedly ran a pay-to-play scheme using their non-profit foundation to take in what appears to be bribes while Hillary was the Obama-Biden secretary of state. Yes, the previous norm stinks…
Although Democrats are trying to flip the script and claim that the president asking Ukraine and China to look into Biden family corruption is improper, nothing could be further from the truth. Investigative journalists have unearthed evidence of Biden family corruption. President Trump has a constitutional obligation to root out government corruption. But more importantly, Americans have a right to know the truth about Biden family corruption.
